Our deoxidizing alloys are less reactive than traditional copper alloyed sterling. Different finishes can react differently. Some manufacturers actually electroplate silver jewelry as part of the finishing process with either pure silver or rhodium. Cast jewelry has different grain properties than stamped jewelry or jewelry wrought from wire or sheet. There are many factors that vary from one piece to another that can affect how quickly a piece tarnishes.
